Welcome
Trusted Local Sparkies for Annandale Homes
Sydney has no shortage of electricians. Far fewer show up on schedule and own the result once the invoice is settled.
That is the job we do here, in the heritage grid of the old Johnston estate with its grand witches' houses and Victorian streetscapes. Ring us and a local picks up directly, never a call centre passing you along.
Licence #452529C sits behind every job, and we're members of Master Electricians Australia. You see the scope written up first, and the about page walks through how it all runs.
What we do
Electrical Services, From Power Points to Full Rewires
Seventeen jobs, one licensed crew, each one quoted in writing up front. Here is the full run.
General Electrical
The everyday work that doesn't fit a tidy category: an intermittent fault, a spare circuit, a stubborn appliance connection. Ring us for general electrical work of any size.

Switchboard Upgrades
Old ceramic-fuse boards become clear, labelled panels with RCBOs and real safety switches. Heritage cottages here rarely have the capacity for modern loads, so an upgraded board is often the first fix.
Learn more
Power Points
More outlets where you need them, USB and smart points, weatherproof ones for the courtyard. A terrace wired for one socket a room never imagined today's device count, so we add the points to match.
Learn more
Light Installation
Chosen and finished to last, whether it's downlights, a pendant over the table, dimmers or garden fittings. Explore what we do with lights and fittings.
Learn more
Electrical Repairs
Flickering lights, a socket gone dead, a switch that won't stay set: every one has a cause behind it. We track it back and fix the fault properly.
Learn more
Ceiling Fan Installation
Balanced, quiet and wired to a proper point, whether it replaces a bedroom light or a tired old unit. Book in a ceiling fan fit-out.
Learn more
Smoke Alarms
Interconnected 240-volt alarms with sealed ten-year batteries, fitted to the NSW rules. Get your smoke detection sorted before a compliance check catches you out.
Learn more
House Rewiring
When a renovation opens a wall on cloth or rubber-insulated cable, that's the moment for a proper rewire, staged so you keep power where you can.
Learn more
EV Charger Installation
A dedicated charging circuit matched to your vehicle and your board. Owners along Trafalgar Street increasingly want a home EV charger, and we find the tidy cable run to make it work.
Learn more
Data & Communications
Cat6 data, NBN, TV points and phone lines run and tested properly, kept well clear of the power cabling. Get your data and comms done once and done right.

Emergency Electrician
Sparks, a hot-plastic smell or a dead board get priority at any hour. Call our emergency electrician number and a licensed person answers.
Learn more
Level 2 Electrician
Accredited work on the connection between the street and your meter: consumer mains, service lines and defect notices. See Level 2 electrician work.

Local knowledge
What Older Annandale Homes Need from a Sparkie
The suburb grew from the 1880s on the Johnston estate, and most of it was built before 1940. Victorian and Federation workers' cottages, terraces and the grand witches' hat villas set the pattern.
Much of that stock sits under heritage conservation controls today. What that means electrically is fairly consistent, and we see it week to week.
Plenty of cottages still run an original ceramic-fuse board that predates circuit breakers entirely. It works until it doesn't, and it was built long before RCDs became the standard protection on every circuit.
Others were never given RCDs across every circuit, which turns a fault that ought to trip cleanly into a genuine shock risk. That's a flickering-light or dead-socket call that turns out to be a wiring issue, not a fitting one.
Then there's the renovation wave. Once a wall comes open on a terrace off Trafalgar Street, decades-old cabling gets exposed, and a partial or full rewire is the honest fix.
We know these houses because we work in them constantly, from the streets around the Hunter Baillie church down toward the Booth Street shops. The heritage look stays; the wiring behind it gets brought up to standard.
Why Homeowners Here Pick Us
Annandale draws a lot of owner-occupiers settling into houses they plan to keep. Renovating for the long haul, they'd rather phone one trusted sparkie in a decade's time than meet a new face each visit.
One Team That Owns the Result
The same licensed crew quotes, wires and tests your job, so nothing gets lost in a handover. You deal with people who remember your house.
The Price We Quote Is the Price You Pay
Every job is priced on paper and fixed before we start. If we ever uncover something genuinely unforeseen, we stop and talk it through rather than surprising you on the invoice.
Left Cleaner Than We Found It
Drop sheets go down, offcuts and packaging leave with us, and the place is spotless when we pack up. If it isn't, we pay for a cleaner.
Standards We Don't Cut
Every circuit meets AS/NZS 3000, fitted with real RCD protection and clearly labelled at the board. That holds whether it's a single point or a whole panel.

Emergency Electrical Help Across Annandale
Some faults just won't keep until a weekday appointment, and a burning smell sits right at the top. Here is when to call straight away.
- A hot-plastic odour rising off a socket, a switch or the board
- Buzzing, arcing or visible sparks at an outlet
- A scorched power point or discolouration around it
- A board that keeps tripping and refuses to stay on
- That hot-plastic smell you can't trace to its source
- The whole house losing power when the street around you still has it
Annandale sits low against Johnston and Whites Creek, draining toward Rozelle Bay, and summer storms can surcharge that older creek-fed drainage in a hurry.
When a whole street goes dark together, that's an Ausgrid network outage for them to restore. Anything from your meter and switchboard inward is ours, and our power outages page explains how we trace it.
Meanwhile, switch off the affected circuit at your board where you can safely get to it, and stay back from anything hot or sparking. Someone licensed picks up day or night, with fast response and often same or next day for anything that isn't urgent.
Safe, Compliant Electrical Work in Annandale
Compliance isn't a box we tick at the end. It's built into how each job is wired, tested and signed off.
Licensed and Insured
All our work carries NSW licence #452529C, with full insurance behind it. You're welcome to verify the licence yourself before we start.
Wired to AS/NZS 3000
The national wiring rules govern every circuit we touch, from a single point to a full board. Nothing gets a shortcut.
Certificate of Compliance
Notifiable work finishes with a Certificate of Compliance registered with NSW Fair Trading. It's part of the price, never an extra.
Accredited and Accountable
We're members of Master Electricians Australia, held to a standard above the licence minimum. The workmanship carries a lifetime guarantee behind it.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
A few things Annandale homeowners ask us most, answered straight.
What electrical services do you offer?
Anything a home runs on. Boards and safety switches, sockets and lighting, fans, alarms, full rewires, EV charging, network cabling and after-hours emergencies, all from one licensed local team.
Is my old switchboard dangerous?
An old ceramic-fuse board isn't dangerous by itself, but it lacks the RCD protection a modern home relies on. If yours has no safety switches, or a fuse blows repeatedly, have it checked before adding heavier appliances.
Why do older Annandale homes need switchboard upgrades?
Most cottages here were wired long before circuit breakers, so their boards were never sized for reverse-cycle heating, induction cooking or an EV. An upgrade adds the capacity and the RCDs that older wiring lacks.
How much does an electrician cost in Annandale?
You settle on one written cost up front, so nothing ever runs on a meter afterwards. Quotes cost nothing, and first-timers knock $50 off their opening bill.
Do you offer emergency electrical work?
Yes, someone answers around the clock for burning smells, sparks or a dead board. A licensed electrician walks you through making things safe while we're on the way.
Can you install an EV charger at home?
We do, and on a terrace the tricky part is usually finding a tidy cable path from the board to the kerb or a rear lane. We check the board has the headroom first, then run it neatly.
